Windows 10: Windows 10 Wanting activation after an update

hi all, i recently updated my windows a couple days ago (cant remember which version) but when i woke up this morning i was greeted by a windows activation watermark. i restarted my pc but it still showed up. ive tried:



restarting

reseting my pc

ran chkdsk multiple times

ran /sfc scannow WHO KNOWS how many times

and ive searched around the internet for about 5 hours today.

ive also ran the command to get your original product key and powershell, but when i went to put it in, it said it was invalid.

i think this either might have to do with the update or i did spoof my hwid a couple days ago to bypass a ban, (its a game chill out, plus the accounts are free) but i dont think that would be the reason why



please help!

Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

If you upgraded to Windows 10 for free and ended up in a non-activated state, try following these steps:

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
