Windows 10: Windows 10 what won't allow a Bluetooth headset device to connect automatically

Why won't Windows 10 allow my Bluetooth headset device to connect automatically. and don't say it does because I've been on the phone with you and I've called you several times. how many emails is it going to take for you guys to get this right?


this is the second month now



just fix it!


I'm not restarting my computer again.

WIndows 10 cannot connect to a bluetooth headset.

• What is the make and model of your headset and Bluetooth dongle?

Bluetooth headset doesn't get detected as audio device automatically

I've got the headphones paired via Bluetooth but when clicking on the sound icon in systray there's no option to quick switch.

To get audio through the headset I have to go to Devices and Printers, right-click the headset icon, select Control, then I get the following window:





I then have to choose Connect.

Only then does the option to switch audio appear in the sound pop-up





I'm not sure what is required to get the headphones detected automatically - is it a limitation of the headset or my Bluetooth dongle?
