Windows 10: windows 10 ; WHEA_UNCORRECTBLE_ERROR

In the recent week, my laptop had began to crash due to WHEA_UNCORRECTBLE_ERROR.

The error occurred at "random" times - sometimes few hours after starting up and sometimes while logging in.


I tried to follow some good practices I found online updated windows, checked drivers, uninstalled some programs but so far it didn't help so far.

I also tried starting up in safe mode - which caused the problem to disappear, but safe mode with network didn't work network was unavailable so I could not do much from this mode.

I did used safe mode to read the recent logs near the crashes, but I couldn't figure which problem was the main cause of it.


Another thing I should mention - this problem occurred to me few months ago and disappeared when I updated my windows.

The laptop is Asus UX-330U.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
