Windows 10: Windows 10 will not download to my Kindle.

Windows 10 does not usually let me download books to my Kindle. On any given day, it may work, but usually does not. I use Amazon contents/devices. Sometimes it will show up as an option at bottom of laptop and sometimes on my list of downloads, but usually not.

I read that article below on killing the Anniversary Update edition of Windows 10 and just had to try it.

Plugged my Kindle Voyage into a USB 2.0 port and nothing happened - Windows just treated it as a normal USB drive, like always. Tried a couple of times, all good. Plugged it into a USB 3.0 port and it wasn't even recognized. Windows kept going like nothing happened.

Plugged it back into a USB 2.0 port and bam! Down she goes. *Laugh :laugh:

Unplugged the Kindle, reset the PC and Windows started up fine.

• Are you able to read the notebooks in other apps?

• What is the exact issue you are facing with Kindle?

If you have downloaded if from Windows Store, I suggest you to try the below and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Press Windows key from the keyboard and click on Settings.
• Click on System and on Apps and Features.
• Locate for the Kindle app, click on it and click on
  Uninstall.
