    Windows 10, Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit

I have recently upgraded to a new PC and Windows 10. I have a hard drive attachment with all files from my old PC which had 64 bit operating system, although it also had older files from my earlier PC that was 32 bit operating system. Consequently I have two program directories on my new HP PC Omen. I need to keep my older data as it has years of research and study that I still access and, if I want to use many of the images I need to access my old Photoshop program to reconfigure them and turn to PDF files.. (There is a complete copy of all data and image files on a separate hard drive)

Over the past few weeks Windows is telling me I have many updates due but there is insufficient space to download. Given that this PC has absolutely tons of storage at 118 gb and windows is telling me that it only has 10.4 of 118gb free, but all the data and image files are on connected - but separate hard drives, why is there insufficient room to download these updates? What should I be removing to make space?

I feel that perhaps this computer may have uploaded multiple copies of program files, but I am not sure how I see that information on windows 10.

I notice many of the program files seem duplicated. Can I get rid of some of the 32 bit programs and still access old files?

    Can anyone help me?

Thank you in anticipation of a response.

    :)

    Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit to 32-Bit?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

    • What is the name of the game?
If the system architect is 32 bit, then you can’t install 64 bit version of windows in it. I suggest you to run “winver” by pressing Windows + R, and check the version and bit.

There are some games that you can install it in 32 bit as well.

Windows 10 is the free upgrade for those users who has genuine key for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 , normally it doesn't require activation, it's gets activated automatically, in case if you face an issue with activation the you can get back to
    us.

For reference you can refer the link below and check if it helps (32 bit and 64 bit architect applies same to windows 10)

Windows 7 32 bit key valid for 64 bit?

When i ordered Windows 7 when it first came out, it came with both the 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs and one serial. I do not really know if this helps your situation, however, I think that a single key would work for 64-bit and 32-bit as long as it is the same version of Windows (eg. Home Premium).

    Windows 10, Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit

Windows 7 OEM move from 32-bit to 64-bit

I have a Dell Vostro 3700 laptop running OEM 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. I have the 32-bit disks but not 64-bit disks. I would like to move up to a 64-bit operating system. I believe the i5-560M CPU supports 64-bit processing. I cannot download a 64-bit
version of Windows 7 Home Premium from Microsoft any more. Can I:

    • Reserve and install a 32-bit version of Windows 10.
    • Then download a 64-bit version of Windows 10 from Microsoft for free and activate with my current product key.
