Thanks! I do have one concern that I posted in one of the other sections of this forum.. it has to do with resizing partitions.. It is under the hardware/driver section of this forums. I think I made a booboo earlier *Biggrin

Did everything go well during the installation of your win 7?
I am in the same situation, I have win 10 and I would like to install win 7 in dual boot.
I created the USB bootable for win 7 and I can boot from it but when the screen of loading files finish the computer freezes.
Do you have any suggestion?

Hello there.
Im trying to do a dual boot install,i installed windows 10 first and now i want to install windows 7 on a different ssd. But i run into problems, i have created a bootable usb install with rufus(GPT partition for Uefi) and i manage to boot up from the usb stick, but when i select the drive i want to install windows 7 on i get this message 0x80300024, is it possible to fix this without disconnecting any drives ?

 

I finally managed to install windows 7 after making the bootable usb drive with rufus(MBT for Bios or Uefi and Fat32)
But when i get the bootmenu to choose between windows 7 and windows 10 and i choose windows 7 i get a error message up that it cant boot. What can i do to fix it ?

 

I found out the problem, and the problem was secure boot in the bios. I turned it off and it worked.

 

That's what I did with my new Dell inspiron Windows 10 laptop. I created a new partition on the hard drive and installed a newly purchased copy of Windows 7 to the new partition, however, there was a message that some thing was out of the suggested order. I'll have to review the message and get back. edit, I disabled secure boot in the uefi bios. Now I'm still on the windows 7 Starting Windows screen.
