Windows 10: Windows 10 - Windows Backup

Discus and support Windows 10 - Windows Backup in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I just applied the latest update to Windows 10 which was available on 11/17/18.     Windows 10 - Windows Backup


    I just applied the latest update to Windows 10 which was available on 11/17/18. It broke Windows Backup. Windows Backup would not back up my files and showed the error:

    Error Code 0x80070013

    and said that my media was write protected. I changed the owner of my media files to myself (which I saw as a solution on another site) and that didn't fix it. I reverted to an earlier version of Windows 10 from the 1809 I was on to 1803. Now Windows Backup works fine.


    I am reading that support for Windows 10 Backup is going away. Is that true?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    no, you can't go back..
    I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

    its already there. there is a hard set factory image from samsung. problem is it takes a long time to get that backup into the drive again and destroys the C drive data.

    so looks like i wont be trying windows 10 anytime soon *Stick Out Tongue Windows 10 - Windows Backup :p
