  1. Windows 10 - Windows Explorer how to get a normal navigation from a folder search

I find this absolutely frustrating that I cannot break out of the search bar to navigate the file tree.I cant right click open new folder to get out of it, I can't open new folders and get out of it. The main reason I use search it to find WHERE something is, and unless I look up its properties and fiddle around for five minutes I can't actually get to where I need to be.Is there a way to disable this method of navigation bar or at least easily break out of it?Thank you.Incase I didn't explain properly, I mean this.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Disable metro-

    1. First, press the Start + R buttons, to open the Run menu.

    2. In the Run window, type “regedit” and hit Enter.

    3. Now scroll on the top of the list and double click on “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”. This will expand the folder.

    4. Do the same for “SOFTWARE “.

    5. In the list, search for “Microsoft” and open it.

    6. Now using the same procedure, navigate to Windows->CurrentVersion->Explorer and some registry entries will appear in the right side of the screen.
