Windows 10: windows 10 /windows to go

I was given a secondhand laptop for christmas from a friend. When the windows 10 came out we downloaded it so we thought that's what was on it however its trying to install the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803. It says it can't install. So i thought i would do a reinstall of windows 10, however it has told me it can't do this as its windows to go. I've never heard of windows to go so you can imagine the frustration in this. How can I correct this? If you look under the system part it says its windows 10.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
