Windows 10 - Windows Update attempts to begin, then I get a BSOD on my laptop

Getting BSOD loop on the computer. Attempted auto repair - did not work. Attempted restore point - did not work. I was able to get into the computer in Safe Mode without networking. Was able to backup my files. I attempted Safe Mode with networking and an update attempt began and then get the Blue Screen of Death loop begins. Ultimately, decided to reset the computer which wiped out my apps. This did work for awhile with the networking enabled, however, in the middle of the night the computer started rebooting with the BSOD again. It was apparently attempting to download a windows update which crashed the computer. Is there a way to prevent windows from trying to download this update that keeps crashing the computer and is this already being addressed?

    :)

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
