Windows 10: Windows 10 Wired Ethernet Connect Drops Occassionally and Reconnects

This has been going on for a while now. And I want to preface this with I am pretty positive it's nothing to do with my ISP because I have an aftermarket wireless card that works just fine although when gaming on wireless I do get packet loss which from my reading is normal. I also have one of the higher tiers of service and none of my other devices really have this problem. I get between 80-100 mbps download and ~ 0.07 mbps upload is this normal? and my latency is ~20ms to not-too-far-away servers.


I've tried so many things including:

• Resetting the modem and router
• Turning off green energy savings
• Unplugging the adapter and reconnecting
• Viewed the windows event logger
• Talked to my ISP which ASSURED me that everything looks right on their end, and I mostly believe them because my laptop works just fine

I've tested the cable with other devices and it seems to work fine. I have a brand new modem and router so I am pretty sure it's not either of those and I checked compatibility and I should be okay with that. The only other thing I can think of is something is up with either my motherboard or the ethernet port.


Is there any kind of screenshots or something I can provide to help assist anyone in this matter? Thank you so much for any advice or help.

Wired Ethernet Connection Constantly Dropping (Windows 10)

My mom recently purchased a laptop from HP running Windows 10. I hooked it up to our Xfinity modem/router via Ethernet and the wired connection is consistently dropping for 5ish seconds, connecting again for a second or two, and then repeating the process.
Connection over WiFi has no problems whatsoever. My own laptop that runs 8.1 has no problems with the same 2-in-1 modem/router, whether wired or wireless.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy the problem?

 

Windows 10 Enterprise Ethernet Connection Drops?

I just installed and plugged in a new Windows 10 Enterprise HP box into our network and it is intermittently dropping and reconnecting the Ethernet connection. It is not reliable.

Suggestions?

 

Wired Ethernet connection keeps dropping

I just updated to Windows 10 and now my wired connection keeps dropping. Its not the router or the internet because it happened when I was away at school. I looked at other forums but their solutions weren't working for me. Its a pretty new laptop, I just
got it in August. To get the internet to work again all I have to do is unplug the ethernet from my laptop and reinsert it and it works again for a few minutes.
