Windows 10: Windows 10 wireless connection to HP printer suddenly failed and cannot be re-established

My wireless connection to my HP Photosmart 6510 printer suddenly stopped working from Lenovo ideapad 320 runnung Windows 10 v 1909. The printer is connected to my network with correct newtwork name, IP and MAC address showing in its display and I have disconnected and reconnected it successfully several times. Also, as a test, I sucessfully connected an old PC running Vista to the same printer via a wireless connection just fine, so the issue is not the printer or router or network. I have tried reconnecting the printer to the Windows 10 laptop but it cannot even find the printer. I can connect the same printer with a USB cable and use it to print or scan without any problem. I tried the network adaptor and got the message "your computer appears to be connected correctly but the device or resource DNS server is not reponding". The only other possibly issue is that sometime before this wireless printer stopped working there was a short 3-4 minute internet outage that recovered as quickly and suddenly as it occured. Aft.yer this short outage everything worked including wireless internet connections and the old PC printer connection, but not the Windows 10 wireless printer connection. I am not sure if the two events are related


I have been dialoguing with Microsoft for the last 8 hours and with five different assistants. They have all gone through pretty much the same routines, in some cases multipl times, but do not understand the root cause and cannot resolve the issue. This includes loading a previous version network driver, doing an in-place Windows 10 upgrade, .reloading to an earlier version of Windows 10, and a different user profile. None of these worked. Microsoft seem unable to s.understand or solve this - has anyone else had the same problem or have any idea how to solve the problem. It seems pretty basic- I just want a wirless printer connection, but I am not a techy with degree in computing so would struggle with anything complex in the bowels of the system. It' of significant concerm that such a basic piece of functionality should suddenly fail so badly without explanation.

Wireless Printer now offline.

Acquired recently within last two months and had previously established a wireless set up connection between my laptop (win 10) and a HP printer, whilst with my parents over Christmas the PC had a windows update (long one) when compared to earlier window
version updates, using their router (i.e. without access to my wireless printer). On returning home the established connection is lost and the laptop shows the printer as offline. Printer trouble shooter suggests printer off but is on, none of the office style
programs give the print option to select the wireless printer. Wireless communications still shows the printer and its IP and the printer itself will work when accessing the HP web page and also responds by sending ink levels back to the Laptop.

Should I start to uninstall and in which order or is there a solution within the Laptop / Windows 10.

If can have some help, but I will need step by step instructions as I'm very unsure of my ablitities.

Connecting to a Wireless Printer

I have a Dell laptop running Windows 10. I have a home PC running 7 which is connected wirelessly to a HP Officejet Pro 276. I have tried unsuccessfully to connect my Dell to the printer by clicking on Devices and Printers and Add a Printer. It searches
for the printer but fails to do so. On clicking on The printer I want isn't listed, none of the proposed solutions appears to establish the connection to the printer. Can you help?

 

Problems connecting to wireless printer


We have a new (albeit old) wireless printer (HP Color laserjet CP3525) with a wireless adapter card. Computers running Windows 7 or Windows 8 could see the network and connect. All computers could then print to the printer. None of our computers running Windows 8.1 could see the network. I upgraded one computer to Windows 10. It can now see the printer network but cannot connect. Any suggestions or ideas of what is wrong and/or how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for any help.
