Windows 10: Windows 10 with Bit locker encryption will not boot after crappy Microsoft update

Hello,


I am the proud owner of a door stop, formerly known as a Microsoft Surface pro.


The system has Windows 10 and is encrypted with Bitlocker. Of course I have the key.


Following Windows update which keeps on churning for days with the message "please wait", I cannot get an operating system to load.


I contacted Microsoft, but the answer was "we cannot help you because your Surface is no longer under warranty"


I now have a brand new $2000 doorstop.


Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this amazing device from Microsoft?

Windows 10: How to hardware encrypt using bit locker without TPM.

Hi Ajit,

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with encrypting the hard drive on Windows 10.

This issue might be due to problems with change in group policy settings for bit locker.

To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• Have you created any system restore point on the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to manage the bit locker settings in the group policy settings by following the below link and check if it helps.

First before performing any changes in Bit locker settings, I suggest you to create System Restore point on the computer. So that we can restore back to previous Windows state if any issues occurs.

Bit locker Encryption

Hello Fiends,

Actually my problem is that i have previously installed windows 7 ultimate(32 bit) in my desktop and to protect my data,
encrypted the "D drive" using bit locker, then after few months, i installed
windows 10 pro(64 bit) in my desktop without disabling the bit locker, after installation i was able to access my locked drive with same password.

Till here everything was fine, but after some days my Desktop started to lag then again i switched to
windows 7 ultimate(64 bit).

But Now i'm not able to access my encrypted drive which was locked by bit locker with same password.

While i'm trying to unlock the encrypted drive i'm getting the massage as
"Unable to Complete the requested operation because of either a catastrophic media failure
or a data structure corruption on the disk".

Pls Help.

BIT LOCKER DISK ENCRYPTION

I have upgraded my system from Windows 7 to windows 10 and i have applied BIT LOCKER ENCRYPTION to C: Dive as well as D: Drive.

I don't have TPM available so i have Done encryption through Without TPM.

But every time i boot the system it is asking for the Password key that ia have entered before encryption.

I don't want that every time i boot it should ask for password.

i want that at boot time the system boots automatically without any password.

Need some help in this case
