    Windows 10 with blue screen code "unmountable boot volume"


    I have an older HP Pavilion Desktop. I purchased and loaded Windows 10 about two months ago. Everything has been working fine until yesterday while watching a movie. I ended up with a blue screen with a note "unmountable boot volume". The automatic repair did not solve the problem. I cleared the CMOS settings. I can get into BIOS but have not been able to start the computer in safe mode using the start/shut down, start/shut down process. What can I try?

    Stop Code Unmountable Boot Volume

    My laptop has Windows 10 installed and is not loading. It is looping from the blue screen continuously a page with the windows icon and dotted circle. The stop code is Unmountable Boot Volume

    Once the computer restarts, it goes to a black screen with only the cursor showing. Next steps? This is a diagnostic computer for work, so any help to repair/diagnose would be great, thank you.
