Windows 10: Windows 10 won't boot after Laptop Powered Down from Lack of Power

Hello,I have a Dell Latitude E5540 with Windows 10. The computer powered down by itself battery died while I was using it as I did not have access to power at the time. I plugged in the computer to let it charge overnight but it would not re-boot black screen, virtually no sound of the computer starting, caps lock key does not turn on and off, etc. the next day. I see some small flashes next to the icon showing accessing the hard drive. The power icon shows a faint light and with reinstalling the battery the battery icon shows a light showing battery power being used. I am guessing I m

Kursah, that 6 steps are granted it always boots at the 6th step (sometimes at the 4th) and I have to remove the ethernet cable every time otherwise I'll have to do countless steps, that's a fact. I do not have Wake On Lan set.

Does the mainboard have a speaker on it? If so are there any POST codes beeping?

Even though it's powering up I would suspect the PSU might be a culprit here...do you have another one you could try?

You state that you remove the Ethernet cable...do you have Wake On Lan set for any reason? What if you skip step 3 in your workaround steps? Does it still boot? Have you tried booting with just a keyboard, screen and power supply connected? (CPU and 1 stick of memory)

That should be the base line hardware required for a bootable system...if it boots there add an HDD, if it boots add the CD/DVD. Etc...

 

Windows won't boot up when unplug laptop power source

The problem is that, if i didn't unplug the power source from the laptop(ie : i just leave it connected to the power source) the laptop can boot just fine. The problem happens when i unplug the power source, and plug in back with the power source, the laptop
will go black screen after the acer logo
