Windows 10: Windows 10 won't boot -URGENT REQUEST FOR HELP

Good Morning all,


My personal laptop refuses to boot and I can't seem to find a way round it. I can't access DOS, safe mode or do a system recovery or use any of the usual key shortcuts Ctrl, alt, del, Win+R etc . The laptop boots up as normal, gets to the windows login screen with the background and date/time . Normally i press one mouse click and then it asks me to enter my password. Instead the screen goes black for a while before the picture screen reemerges and the process is repeated.


How do i get round this ?

Windows 10 Will Not Boot - Help Requested

As the issue still persist, I would suggest you to download the media creation tool to install windows 10 and create Windows 10 installation DVD media and try Repairing your Computer.

Follow the below steps:

  Create installation media for windows 10.
  
  Refer to the below link:

• 
  Insert the Windows 10 installation DVD in the DVD ROM and restart your computer.
  
• 
  After you boot your computer using Windows DVD or System Repair Disc, a black screen appears with gray text "Press any key to boot from DVD". Press any key.
  
• 
  Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
  
• 
  Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.

a request for device descriptor request failed

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.

Can't boot to Windows - urgent solution needed

My method will take some explaining.

What you are trying to do is boot into safe mode: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...a.html#option1 but you can't because windows won't start so, follow option six here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...a.html#option6 to force the boot to allow you to go to the advanced options, at the bottom of option 6 step 4 it shows a screenshot where you can click on the See Advanced Repair Options button.

From there hopefully you can finish the boot into safe mode to reverse the driver install. In option one step 6 of the safe mode tutorial I would choose 4 or F4 to enter safe mode. If 4 doesn't work then try F4, the option to choose either one first is entirely yours.
