Windows 10: Windows 10 wont let me open settings

    Windows 10 wont let me open settings


    Whenever i try and open the settings app for windows 10 it opens briefly and then closes down.

    Is there a fix for this? as ive tried creating a new account through the command panel and it didn't work

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    settings wont open

    Hi,

    Please answer the below question to understand the situation better,

    • Are you facing this issue on a local account or the Microsoft Account?
    Please follow the below steps and check if it works,

    • Press “Windows key + I” to open the Settings screen.
    I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer and then sign in to the Administrator account to check if this helps

    Windows 10 wont let me open settings

    windows 10 settings page wont open

    after the free upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 the settings page wont open, it just flashes and I cant check for updates. any suggestions?
