Windows 10: Windows 10 won't load new photos it pulls from S22

Windows 10 on my laptop will pull my photos from my Galaxy S22, but it won't show the photos so I can select them to import them into a folder. It gets stuck on the 1st step of the import process. Also, possibly related, when it worked previously it would let me select a destination file to import them to but it would not put them there and I would have to select them all manually and cut/paste them to the destination file. I've tried resetting and repairing the photos app. Thanks for your help.

Downloading photos in Windows 10

Downloading from Panasonic digital camera.

I have followed the steps but "Import/Export photos doesn't appear in the dropdown list. Since this is the first time I am downloading into this computer with Windows 10 it was suggested that I need to load new drivers but I can't seem to find them.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
