Windows 10: Windows 10 won't recognize drivers for HP Envy 5055

I just purchased a HP ENVY 5055 to work from home during this lockdown. I can't get Windows to recognize the drivers. I worked with an HP Assistant for over an hour installing/uninstalling/reinstalling and he couldn't get Windows to recognize the drivers so I can scan. The HP tech gave up and said Windows is blocking it. I'm desperate for a solution as I am working from home, need to be able to scan and am trying to stay 'essential'. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

I understand that you are unable to print using HP Envy 5055 printer. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you facing this issue only while printing Excel documents?
  
• Do you receive any error code/message?
  
• Were you able to print documents earlier?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try running
HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer this will diagnose the issues with Printing.



You may also want to try reinstalling the drivers from HP website:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5000-all-in-one-printer-series/14095644/model/14095768. Try installing the recommended drivers and check.

when I print a test page it works fine. but when I try to print excel document it does not print.

any suggestions?

HP Envy Laptop Battery not charging after Windows 10 installation

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Device Manager.
• Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
• Restart the computer and check.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to visit HP Envy website and check whether HP has released any firmware updates for Windows 10. If so, please go ahead and install them and check with the issue.
