Windows 10: windows 10 x64 keep on forcing me to delete desktop short cuts for my files and folders...

my tech support case numbered 1013565411 and i am still waiting for ms deveopers and tech teams to create modification settings for me to keep my short cuts of disconnected hdd in my desktop , please if any one got solution or even registry string to add to bypass this issue or what ever settings he/she may drive me right to get the suitable help , i will be waiting for help , thanks a lot in advance , , ,

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

I understand that after upgrading to Windows 10, all of your desktop files and short cuts are gone. I will try to help you with this.

I would like to let you know that the Windows.old folder contains all files and apps from the previous Windows installation. All the data associated with the previous OS would be located in this folder.

Windows 10 is different from Windows 7. It is a new generation of Windows, with a wide range of experiences designed to usher in a new era of more personal computing.

If you don’t find an icon for an application which you have installed, you can pin it to the desktop by performing these steps:

• 
  Search for the application which you need to add to the desktop.
  
• 
  Right-click on the application >> select open file location.
  
• 
  Right-click on the application >> select send to and click on Desktop.
  

This will add the application which you want it to be on the desktop.

I deleted $Windows~.BT folder that was propably Windows 10 files. How to recover?

So about two weeks ago I deleted a $Windows~.BT folder (through the cmd). Now I know that was Windows 10 files ready for install.

How can I download it again? I'm sure I need to reinstall some update. But which?
