  1. Windows 10 X64 Pro Release 1909 System Protection

I volunteer my times at a local high school gifting laptops to students. Last week after 9 years I gifted my 1,000 laptop.

My question deals with cloning software. I built a hard drive and a SSD with high school software which includes Windows 10 X64 Pro. After cloning each individual Hard Drive or SSD and placed into a Dell laptop it has created under the "System Protection" "Protection Settings" two 2 "C" drives. One is Local Disk C: System protection on and one is a yellow folder C: Missing with protection on. Why is this happening? and why isn't it noted somewhere when "Cloning" software?

The only way I can fix this problem is to high light the "C Missing" , go to "Configure" and turn off protection. When I go back and :Configure" protection on, the "C: Missing line disappears.

Cloning saves me many hours of having to build each Windows 10 X64 Pro, so I would like some help with this procedure I'm using and why does it Happen.

Thank you all for your support.

  3. No System Reserved Partition After Free Upgrade and Clean Install of Windows 10 Pro x64

The desktop I'm working on is dual-boot. I upgraded the first boot partition to Windows 10 Pro x64 from Windows 7 Pro x64 last fall just after v1511 of Windows 10 was released. I first upgraded to secure a Product ID and then completed a clean install. Which
created a 500 MB System Reserve Partition (CWindows 10 X64 Pro Release 1909 System Protection :) and and a System Partition (JWindows 10 X64 Pro Release 1909 System Protection :).

I don't know what the System Reserve Partition is for but I expected the same thing to happen when I upgraded the second boot partition to Windows 10 Pro x64 from Windows 7 Pro x64 but that's not what happened. This time I only got the System Partition (CWindows 10 X64 Pro Release 1909 System Protection :).
There is no 500 MB System Reserve Partition. Windows 10 Pro x64 is registered for the second partition and the Product ID is shown on the System/About settings page.

For each of the two upgrades, I created a Windows 10 ISO boot disk to complete the clean install. The only difference is that for the second partition, Microsoft had modified their handling of free upgrades which allowed me to skip the upgrade step. So I
completed the upgrade and clean install in a single step.

    Thanks.
