Windows 10 x64 Seagate 14 TB exos drive USB windows shows 2 TB accessible, can not access the drive "the parameter is incorrect. The same drive has no issues on an HP g7 laptop with win7 or win10.The PC is having issues have shut down the computer then started it, and restarted it again 6x, and the drive is detected every time in the bios, but as soon as windows 10 starts to load the drive gets accessed constantly, I can see this by the hard drive encloser light staying on 100% of the time.

How do I get Windows 7 to install on a full 3 TB HDD?

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. Giving this a shot now. I already try converting to GPT once already and it worked, but still only showed 2 TB, however, the steps listed your link Newteki have a few added steps I did not do. Also, I decided to go with Windows 8 Pro since Windows 7 was giving me so much trouble with this issue, yet it still gave me the same problems of only showing 2 TB then a separate 700ish GB drive.

Here goes nothing, thanks all, will be reporting back soon, hozzah!

I have a Seagate 14 TB drive model st14000nm001g-2kj103-002 connected by USB used to copy data & backups

I ran a few diagnostic tools, Seagate seatools for windows, western digital dashboard, windows disk check, and chkdsk from command prompt chkdsk g:/f/r and all failed, I rebooted the PC and selected better performance and enabled wright cashing but that failed, the drive then disappeared from windows explorer but was still listed in

    disk management.

I have switched the USB cable and changed the USB port but the same issue was persistent, I rarely would use the drive and it stayed disconnected most of the time with 10.3 TB of free space on it so that is not an issue.

I am having some other issues with my Logitech USB mouse and keyboard freezing for several seconds to a few minutes.

Wake timers are off, no sleep or hibernate or selective USB turn off.

The PC froze again for about 30 seconds, after it recovered the 14 TB drive was back in windows explorer.

The mouse is set to scroll multiple lines at a time .
