Windows 10: Windows 10

Long story short but I don’t know how much info to provide. So, my hard drive crashed. I was running windows 8.1. Purchased a cheap lil laptop just to see if i could recover anything from the crashed hard drive. No luck there yet.
I purchased a new hard drive for my desktop and purchased windows 10 and I downloaded the windows installation tool to a portable hard drive. On the desktop i can make it through region selection, keyboard selection, etc. then i het the “your pc into a problem and needs to restart message”. Nothing happens from there. Guess I’m just trying to figure out where to go from here. I haven’t been asked to put in a product key.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
