Windows 10: windows 10

I was able to do absolutely everything on my computer until 3 months ago when I got a blue code. Took it to ubreakifix and they deleted every single program, installed windows 10 and kept my data for an extra $50. Little did I know that I could not open anything after I got it home. called and got nowhere so went to the place and showed what I was trying to open and he told me I would need to purchase from Microsoft store excel, word,anything office. It has been a nightmare every since and I dislike even sitting down at my computer. When I click on the window icon, there is no start, no shutdown, no menu, no apps, no control center. I feel totally computer illiterate. The repairman advised me to get some tech supportbut I have been using a computer for 40 years. can anyone help me because Microsoft sure can not.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
