Windows 10: Windows 10PC is not detecting camera

I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 but when I plugged in the camera Nikon D 850, it didn’t open up the pictures. It forced me to go to the settings, devices, and double click on download pictures and videos.

It is too long procedure, can you help me change it so it would be as it used to be: I plug in the camera, it finds the most recent photos and asks if I want to download them?

This issue might have occurred because of outdated/ corrupted drivers after upgrading to Windows 10.

I suggest you to try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to
run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on View all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: Check for the driver status in Device Manager.

Right click on the Start menu, click on Device Manager, and check if there are any exclamatory mark on any of the drivers. If so, right click on the drive, click on
Properties and let us know the Device status.

Step 3: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

windows hello cannot detect camera

• Type Device Manager on Start/Cortana.
• Click on Imaging devices.
• Right click Integrated Camera or the name of your camera.
• Select Update Software or Properties >
  Driver Update Driver.
