Windows 10: Windows 10Pro version 20H2 -Error 0x80070002

HiGetting totally fed up with this.Keeps trying to update and install incesintly since last year.Fails everytime.Tried disabling eset nod/uninstalling Nvidia graphics driver.Disconnected all hard drives excluding the system.Disconnected all usb devices excludign mouse and keyboard.Removed firwire sound card connector.I tried the various hard drive MFT checkers rebuild

This error can be bypassed by doing an installation in place.

windows 10 20H2 make an iso and extract the iso in place then access the extract folder then lunch the setup.exe and then accept keep files and apps. Leave a feedback

I actually start getting this error with an October update and have been trying to troubleshoot. Here's the details

Affected Updates:

October 13, 2020—KB4579311 (OS Build 19041.572)

Windows 10, version 20H2

Error 0x80070002

Attempts to resolve:

Changed Date and Time settings

Ran Win10 troubleshooter for updates (states no issue)

Reset windows update from command line (stop all servcices and restarted)

Tried d/l'ing and installing updates directly. System completes install to 100% but then message appears stating update wasn't installed

Looking for some help going forward

Please assist

 

Error 0x80070002 when trying to update Windows

I have been having issues for months with Windows 10 updates failing due to Error 0x80070002 on my gaming laptop. The full message reads:

2019-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4503286) -Error 0x80070002.

I am currently on version 1803 (OS Build 17134.590) and I'm being told "You're currently running a version of windows that's nearing the end of support. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 now to get the latest features and security improvements."

I have followed the instructions on Error Code 0x80070002 Fixed – Eassos Step-by-Step Tutorial but this hasn't resolved the problem. Does anybody know how to fix this?
