Windows 10: Windows 11 22H2: No volume equlization!

I am in serious need of help. When I was on Windows 10, an update some time ago broke my sound. I never used Realtek, as it always sounded tinny. First I had the issue on my old ASUS Xonar 7.1 AE PCIE sound card, then I bought a Creative Sound Blaster X3, and the issues continued. The issue is some sound effects are quiet while others are deafeningly loud! It also happens with my ACER Predator laptop, when connected to the Sound Blaster X3, exactly the same way. On my MAME arcade machine emulator, some games are now really quiet, some are loud and others are quiet with some really loud s

Cannot update Windows 11 to build 22h2

Need more help than support web site offers. I would like to update a Windows Pro 21h2 to 22h2.

I've tried every suggestion at Troubleshoot problems updating Windows - Microsoft Support short of "Perfrom a clean installation of Windows 11." That list is comprehensive and includes everything I would have thought of on my own and then some. None of the troubleshooting suggestions solved the problem. The system in question is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M90n desktop running Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2.

In addition to all the steps at the above link, I've also tried installing by using Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Installation Assistant downloads and goes through the long installation process. But then very shortly after the reboot starts, it says, "Undoing changes" and boots back into the old build.

Windows 11 22H2 on my Windows 11

Hi - my Dell XPS 15 7590 originally came with Windows 10 but I upgraded to Windows 11 without problems. Now running Windows 11 21H2 OS Build 22000.1098

Windows update is not offering me Windows 11 22H2 to download/install.

My Windows Registry does not seem to have any reference to '"DestBuildNum, UpEx, UpExU, and RedReason" keys.

Is there some incompatibility with my system that is stopping Windows Update from offering me 22H2?

I'm also registered for Windows Insider and that does offer me an Insider version of 22H2.

Thanks for any suggestions.
