    Windows 11 22H2 Update "Broke" my 2nd monitor


    I started noticing after the 22h2 update on Windows 11 PRO, that my 2nd monitor refused to turn on.Device manager shows that the device is not migrating. Monitor starts but it just goes into some weird black screen loop and there is no OSD to access either. "Device settings for DISPLAY\MSI1462\5&2a2d35a0&3&UID33025 were not migrated from previous OS installation due to partial or ambiguous device match."This is a bit frustrating and im not that excited to reinstall my entire computer because an update broke it and not even sure if it would help since I would be on Windows 11 22H2 U

    How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2 Win Update

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

    Windows 10 Version 22H2 is coming in October 2022 ---> KB5015684 Provides Quick Windows 10 22H2 Upgrade - Ed Tittel On the Ed Tittel page click on the links DeskModder.de or .MSU x64 version of the upgrade.

    Updating to Windows 11 broke my external monitor

    I gave you a series of links in Step 1 for the known issue of Windows not recognizing second monitor after Windows 11 upgrade, asking you to report back the results of each step in each link. I see no results posted except for the additional steps I gave in Step 2 for all things to be tried with the Display driver.

    Please go back and perform all steps that are working for others with this known issue, and report back the results for each so I know what else to suggest. I am standing by here to help.
