Windows 10: Windows 11 22h2 update : Windows Hello sign in not working following pin change.

Hello, my issue is the following :When trying tu set a pin number, the pin configuration windows opens with difficulty then closes immediately, before one can see anything.The same thing appears when trying to set a new password.As for the fingertip the setting it goes well until we get to pin setting, then same again.

Microsoft advised following the issue being raised after the 22H2 release to just use the PIN, until addressed.

Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security were temporarily restricted from receiving the Windows 11, version 22H2 upgrade until the issue had been fixed. Unfortuently mine automatically downloaded the update.

Users who have already updated to the Windows 11, 22H2 version and are experiencing the Windows Hello signing-in issue can log in to their accounts with their user passwords.

Although Microsoft already addressed the issue in the KB5017389 preview cumulative update, the compatibility hold safeguard will likely be removed in mid-October.

Has it been addressed?

How do I fix it, after it has automatically downloaded the 22H2 update?

Yes my Hello Pin works fine but not the biometrics. It was listed as a bug in September and a blaock was released by microsoft but my machine automatically updated to 22H2 before i could stop it.

Problem is I use a tablet and therefore the biometrics are ideal, using a pin is not, as i need to open a keyboard, - which is why i use a tablet as i dont need a keyboard most of the time.

My machine automatically updated to Windows 11 22H2 10 days ago.

Since then my windows hello sign in not working.

I have reset the Hello access, new recognition pics and fingerprint but still doesnt work.

There was guidance to use a PIN, which i do but being normally in tablet mode this isnt convienent.

Is there a workaround or has this fault been fixed yet?
