Windows 10: Windows 11 23H2 22631.3527 OEM optional updates on

How is it that my OEM version with optional updates turned on has a higher number than the last publicized announcement from Microsoft on the Release Preview channel? Or is Microsoft just that far behind on updating their webpages. like on the FBH page "Learn what's new..link" takes you back to 2023.This is 2024 right?

Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

• 22000.xxx is 21H2
  
• 22621.xxx is 22H2
  
• 22631.xxx is 23H2

Window 11 23H2 failed to upgrade with 0x800f081f

Choose reinstall (keeping the settings and apps option) with the Windows 11 23H2 iso file. That was how I fixed the issue. Make sure your Windows beta version is lower than 22631, otherwise, it will not work, you will have to do a clean install

Official Windows 11 v23H2 is build 22631.xxx and you have Dev chanel insider preview build 23595 which is already ahead of official version 23H2. Your only way to get Windows 11 23H2, build 22631.xxx is to do clean install of that released version.
