Windows 10: Windows 11 23H2 on-screen keyboard not appear when I touch in a text field

OS: Windows 11 23H2Computer: OptiPlex Small Form Factor 7010Hi,I have setup a desktop in kiosk digital signage mode with Edge as a single app, but when I tap on a text field, the on-screen keyboard does not pop-up.My dispositive is connected only in a touchscreen Elo Touchsystems 2700 Intellitouchr Touchmonitor Interface, without mouse or keyboard but in kiosk the on-screen keyboard don't working.I' read a bit and understood that Windows 11 has no more a toggle tablet mode as there was on Windows 10.Do you can help me, pls?

Touch screens

I can do 60 words per minute on my phone, perhaps more now as I've got used to the phone. ( htc desire z, using the stock onscreen keyboard)

Touch screen + predictive text I recon I could equal my keyboard typing speed. Maybe beat it depending on how advance the predictions are.

( hard to use predictive software on traditional keyboards as there is no way to quickly choose the suggested word, where as touch screen keyboards can have the suggested words appear above the function keys)

 

On-screen keyboard doesn't appear automatically in text windows

Just to verify, can you tell us which app or programs are you using that the on-screen keyboard does not automatically appear on when tapping on a text field? Built-in programs, and programs that correctly support touch on Windows 10 should pop up the keyboard
automatically, while programs that do not support touch won't do so.

As a workaround, I suggest that you have the on-screen keyboard icon available on the task bar for easy access by long-pressing the task bar and selecting "Show touch keyboard button."

Disappearance of Windows on-screen keyboard when focus set on text input field

HI

I have the following situation in my application :

1. Setup in my Surface Device (Windows 10)

i. Tablet Mode is set Off

Settings -> System -> Tablet Mode : selected 'Use Desktop Mode'

ii. Display of windows keyboard is set On:

Settings -> Devices -> Typing : Touch keyboard - "Show the touch keyboard when not in tablet mode and there's no keyboard attached" is set
ON​

2. In one of the screen,

• when focus set on text field, windows keyboard is apears for a few milliseconds and disappears.
  

Why is the keyboard disappearing ? How to stop it ?

• when focus set on numeric field, I am showing my custom numeric keypad, but windows keyboard is automatically displayed. Two keypads is annoying to the customer. How can I stop displaying of windows keyboard ?

Please provide a solution.
