Windows 10: Windows 11 23H2 ver. 22631.3958 not handling/managing my external 16TB SSD exFat properly

I get the external USB SSD to work with difficulty in Windows 11. That is, I can "copy" from an internal SSD to this external SSD, but not from another external USB disk to this one. Then Windows suddenly "loses" this USB SSD disk and it is no longer visible in Explorer. I have tried to "copy" from both my PC and my laptop both with Windows 11 23H2 with the same result.I say "copy", because the Copy Function in Explorer shows that it is copying and taking the right amount of time to do so about two hours or more for 50GB of data, but when you try to open one of the copied files, it's eithe

Hi, sadly I can't replicate it anymore, the disk is mounting already. It's most like a design in the latest build of Windows 11 23H2 wherein for some reason if you format it on a non-Windows operating system (like macOS's Disk Utility even if it's a supported format like exFAT, or perhaps Linux which I've not tested on), it's not going to mount the volume but it'll detect the storage SSD storage itself, especially if you don't format the whole drive and you just formatted the volume to say exFAT.

It went back to normal when I deleted the partitions on disks and formatted it to exFAT (the flashdrive) and NTFS, the other SSD SATA USB external 3.0 cable on Windows either using the built Disk Management or 3rd party like Aomei- I used Aomei Partition Wizard.

Hi, any fix for Windows 11 23H2 build 22631.3527 only mounting hardisks & not SSDs, including Flashdrives?

My SSDs are NTFS (GPT) and ExFAT (MBR).

It wasn't like this on Windows 10 and Windows 11 version 22H2.

Cannot install Windows 11 23H2

The build number 22631.2506 implies the device has been upgraded to 23H2 already.

Here are the version/build numbers for Windows 11.

• 22000.xxx is 21H2
  
• 22621.xxx is 22H2
  
• 22631.xxx is 23H2
