Windows 10: windows 11 23H32 setup error 0x8007000D - 0x40021

i am trying to install windows 11 23H2, and things seemed to go well, so I left my system to do it's thing overnight. that will teach me.... when i came back the next day windows setup program said it had encountered an issue and rolled back the install. i have never encountered this particular error before, and i am unable to find an exact match for the issue through searches. if the error is accurate, the issue occurred during the final part of the setup process. i have included a screenshot below. I get this while trying to update Windows 10. Error code: (0x8007000d). I have watched Youtube videos and Googled this error code. I have tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. If I use (reset this pc) will that correct the error?

Windows 11 Installation Error - Error Code: 0xC1900101 0x40021

Hello.

I tried installing Windows 11 23H2 from 22H2 using ISO but it fails and rolls back at the end with the error:

Error Code: 0xC1900101 0x40021

The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_RESPECIALIZE operation

Can't seem to find any documentation regarding this error.

Looking at a previous post with same error (Redirecting), i've saved the following files:

• C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther\Setupact.log
  
• C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\Setupact.log
  
• C:/$Windows.~bt\Sources\Rollback\setupapi\setupapi.dev.log
  
• C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\Setupmem.dmp
  

and used "setupdiag /ZipLogs:True" to create the Logs.zip file, but don't know what to search for.

Any help on this?
