    Windows 11 24H2 C:\Windows\Temp Permissions changed


    Curious if anyone else ran into this issue. During the latest install of Microsoft Teams we recieved a install error that the program was unable to access the c:\Windows\Temp location. After trying to open this location manually we will get a prompt "you currently dont have permission to access this folder" after clicking yes and accepting the UAC prompt we are now able to install MS teams. Assuming a recent windows update might have changed permissions for the windows/temp folder.

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

    WINDOWS 11 24H2

    Windows 11 24H2 is now shipping on new Copilot+PCs. However, Microsoft has not announced when it will be released for other Windows 11 users. By all accounts, it will be a significant update.

    Windows 11 24H2 C:\Windows\Temp Permissions changed

    c:\windows\TEMP folder permission getting revoked automatically.

    I have been noticing this for few day in different machine, That in the latest windows builds the permission to access the windows\temp folder is getting changed.

    Is this an expected one in windows 10 or in windows 11. Is there any recent changes implemented by microsoft with respect to the temp folder access.

    Due to this few application that uses the temp are not working as expected .

    Note: I know how to take ownership and gain access to my accounts.

    I need to know the behaviors changes that has been implemented .
