    Windows 11 24H2 Explorer always opens on wrog screen


    Hi,Windows Explorer no longer remembers the position when closing.It always opens on the second screen and not on the main screen.Other programs open where I closed them.I have set this setting “Remember window position based on monitor connection”.I have already disconnected the other screen, but after reconnecting it, Explorer opens again on the second screen.I have already swapped main screens without any change.Windows 11 24H2 with all current updates.

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 11 24H2 is now shipping on new Copilot+PCs. However, Microsoft has not announced when it will be released for other Windows 11 users. By all accounts, it will be a significant update.
