    Windows 11 24H2 Notepad


    Hello,the new editor Notepad replacement in Windows 11 24H2 is suddenly unable to correctly detect ANSI files when using automatic encoding detection. It incorrectly opens them as UTF-8 instead, which breaks special characters like umlauts in German.

    There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

    Windows 11 24H2 is now shipping on new Copilot+PCs. However, Microsoft has not announced when it will be released for other Windows 11 users. By all accounts, it will be a significant update.
