Windows 10: windows 11 24h2 remove properties and personal information not working

With the 24h2 update the remove properties and personal information is now not working.I have reverted to 23h2 and this solves the issue.I have now had another go at updating to 24h2 some weeks later and the same issue is there.Is this a known bug which will be fixed?

Hi,

So, this is really bugging me, I downloaded an album that I have purchased, when I got the files there was no in file details when looking at the properties of each file.

I have complained to the company I purchased the album from.

I click on a song, I open the properties and see no data, I can't edit any of the fields, but there is an option that states "Remove Properties and Personal Information".

I select this and get a new dialog box stating "Some of these properties might contain personal information"

There is a non-useful MS link that provides no insight.

Options are and we will start with the first:

1. Create a copy with all properties removed, I did this, and all properties were the same, so not removed.
   
2. Remove the following properties from this file, I did this, and no properties were removed.
   

I have been looking at YT vids but their all from many months or years past and most post state it does not work.

I need help.

On my Microsoft word document. I go to its properties> details tab.

when I click on "remove properties and personal information" option down below, nothing happens, the remove properties window will not pop-up.

Sorry for the late response.

I have gone through the properties and created copies but I can't change any of them just like the original.

Thanks for suggesting WAV Metadata Cleaner or WAV Metadata Remover but why must I use these tools?

WAV MetaData could not help,

What within Windows 11 is stopping me from editing files, I have noticed the vast majority of files are locked.

I have thought about re-installing W11 would the file lock remain?
