the network adapter will disconnect after playing a video game, with a can't connect to network error, sometimes causing the wifi option to disappear fully, . This seems to have started happening since the October 2024 24H2 update. The first November update has caused the issue to happen less often, but it still seems to happen at least once a day. The most recent update preview seems to be making it worse but I'm not 100% sure if that's a coincidence or not.sometimes opening and closing the laptop will be enough to fix it, but other times, the wifi options disappear completely, in that case

Network adapter disappears everytime I play online games

This started when I tried to upgrade to Windows 11, I thought it was because of the windows 11 so I downgraded it back to windows 10 but the problem is still there.

Whenever I try to play online games, after a few minutes it will disconnect because my network adapter is gone. I can't see the wifi anymore. I've tried a lot of things that fixes the missing network adapter like

• Unchecking 'Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power'
  
• Updating the driver to the latest available version
  
• Uninstalling the driver and restarting
  
• typing 'netsh int ip reset' and 'netsh winsock reset' in cmd as adminstrator
  
• setting WLAN autoconfig to automatic
  
• Network reset
  
• Troubleshooting network adapter
  
• Resetting PC
  

And other fixes that I see here. It brings back the network adapter but the main problem which is the network adapter always disappear whenever I play online games is still there. I hope you can help me with this issue.

Step 2: Let us try to update the Display Adapter, and check if you are able to play vides.

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right click on the video driver and select
  Update Driver Software.
• Restart the computer.

• How have you upgraded to Windows 10?
• Is this issue confined only while playing the games (any specific game/ video)?
• Were you able to find any error code/ error message with this issue?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ incompatible/ outdated display drivers after the latest update, try the below and check if it helps.

I suggest you to uninstall and re-install the display drivers in safe mode and check if it helps.

Step 1: Try to place the computer in Safe mode with Networking.

Step 2: Uninstall and update the display driver

Steps to uninstall the drivers for the Display Adapter.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right click on the Display Adapter
  and click on Uninstall.
• Contact the device manufacturer website download the drivers.

Step 3: I suggest you to install all the pending updates on Windows 10.

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type
  updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on
  Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.
