    Windows 11 "Access Denied Press Continue to try and Gain Access" not working.


    In Windows 10 and older versions of Windows 11 when you hooked up an external drive that was pulled out of another computer and tried to access the user folders it would give you a UAC prompt that says "Access Denied Press continue to try and get access." You would press continue and after an amount of time, you would eventually gain access to the user folder and see the documents, desktop, downloads, etc. This feature appears to have been removed in newer versions of windows 11. I Have tried multiple new computers when trying to transfer data from an old device. Does anyone have any su

    LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied.

    I am trying to share a folder on a LAPTOP. I have other a number of other systems that have folders Shared and they work fine, but with this one I get the error "LAPTOP is not accessible ..... Access is denied." when I try to access it from a different Win10 system. So I went thru the entire "How to Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10" tutorial step by step. File and Print Sharing is enabled, SMB1.0 client & server are running, and Everyone has Full Access to the Share. Still get the error. I have tried it with the Network Public and Private, with the same result. Any suggestions ?

    "Access denied"

    I am trying to use command prompt (as admin) to run command attrib -s -h -r -a /s /d *.* to clear any potential viruses and i get access denied on all of it. how can I gain access and why is this such a problem with windows 11 denying me access to files and folders even as Admin? I am seriously about to switch back to windows 10 because i am tired of not having access to my own PC
