Windows 10: Windows 11 Activation error 0x803f700f

Hi,I have been running a Windows 11 Pro VM for 12 months on my Apple Mac using VMWare Fusion. Yesterday the MAC or VMWare completed an update and when I logged back onto my Windows 11 VM it said the licence wasn't activated. This has happened once before about 6 months ago, that time I went to activation, said my hardware had changed, selected the VM and it reactivated with no issue. This time it will not reactivate, just fails and suggests I by a new licence! I raised an help call, the guy tried the same things, then asked me for the licence key. the one I have is apparently a generic from on

Trying to activate windows 10 i get a error message "Something prevented us from communicating with our activation servers. Error message: 0x803f700f

 

Why will Windows 11 Pro not activate? Error code 0x803F700F

Something prevented us from communicating with our activation servers. Wait a few minutes and then try again. Error code 0x803F700F.

I have two valid license keys, global and lifetime.

The Windows 10 key worked fine until I upgraded to Windows 11 (after which I purchased a VALID Windows 11 Pro key), then I got the abovementioned error.

Is there a way of fixing this or will I do I have to buy a new computer to resolve this? Seems rather expensive if that is what Microsoft intends in my case.
