Windows 10: Windows 11 activation keeps failing

Hey,I bought a digital product key for Windows 11 Pro online and re-installed my OS from scratch using it but I keep getting prompts to activate it that always end in failure.Every time I click the troubleshoot button I choose the option "I changed hardware on this device recently" and it always ends in failure due to a mismatch to my previous version of Windows installed on this machine I used to own Windows 10 Education that was later upgraded to Windows 11 on this machine.Not sure how to proceed in order to fix this?

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

 

Windows 11 Update Failing

I have done all of the steps listed here and the KB5023706 still fails. I only recently ended up doing a complete repair (to get out of the Insider program that I entered by mistake). I have Windows 11 Pro installed - so if I download the ISO file will it recognize that this is windows 11 pro?

here and follow the suggested steps to resolve it. If the error code isn't in the list, kindly send us the exact error code. You may attach a screenshot of the error. By the way, how did you get your copy of Windows 10? I suggest that you refer to this
