Yes, this is true. I go turn on PC, it boots to windows, I can sign in to my account. I was gonna check Crystal Disk Info until my screen goes black. Then my moniter said no signal and also no keyboard. Can anyone help me? I've been using the PC for 3 years and all of a sudden it does this... This happened today and I changed the GPU from a rx 570 to rtx 4060 at December 2023. If you got any answers, please comment.

Windows 7 black screen of death

I read a report a little while ago that said the black screens were nothing to do with updates but due to a malicious program (it hit more than just windows 7 users - vista, xp and 2000 were also prone to the black startup screen of death if infected). My windows 7 install is fully up-to-date and i've never had the black startup screen.

Just run some decent anti virus and you should be safe (i suggest microsoft security essentails since it's free and pretty decent). When you've installed an anti-virus i'd suggest doing a full scen to be sure there's nothing there.

Black screen /Monitor

Windows 10 update for 11/14/ made my monitor screen darker than usual when it comes on and that is for about 30 seconds at a time then it goes black. I have to keep turning the monitor off and on; the computer stays on the entire time. I tried setting
the system back to an earlier time and other suggestions on your page but nothing works.
