Windows 10: Windows 11 All Apps pane. How can I press a letter to go to a particular app instead of...

I know I can add an app to my Start Menu, that's not the issue.I found when going to the All Apps pane, to the app I want and right-click, I get a list of the most recent files opened with the particular app.This cannot be done in the Start Menu. It would be great if you could, that would be the best solution.Meanwhile, I naturally thought I could just press the first letter of the app and it would scroll to the location in the list of apps, but NO, it opens the search pane which I do not want. Even here, when it locates the app I'm looking for, the same behavior as in the Start Menu occurs

Unable to download apps from Windows Store

Sorry for the delay in response.

Do you face an issue with a particular\ all apps?

As you have issue with the store downloading apps, try to run these inbuilt troubleshooters.

We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

• Type troubleshooting in the search box and hit Enter.
• Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and check.

and

Follow the same steps to use the Windows update troubleshooter.

And i dunno its from the app or something, sometimes i need to refresh several times to show the content

One more please add app update notification from the app or button for reporting bugs or suggestion


One suggestion, may you put menu on dropdown on top corner so we can move without pressing back again and again

I would suggest you to run the below steps and then follow the suggestions provided by Aswin and check if it helps.

Run the inbuilt windows app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Key+X.
• Click Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on Windows Store app to run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to reset Windows Store cache and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key+ R.
• Type wsreset.exe and hit
  Enter.
