Windows 10: Windows 11 and gmail

I installed Windows 11 on my laptop and now when I try to sign into GMail from either my laptop Windows 11 or my desktop Windows 10 I am asked to add GMail to my Google account. When I try to do that with my existing GMail account it tells me that the account already exists, which it does. I do not want or need a new GMail account, I just need to be able to access my existing account! How can I get around this problem? Any help appreciated

Thanks to bro67...Interestingly enough the Gmail link to this forum reply actually worked, as did your link to "How to Fix....." I tried steps 1 and 2 without success. Step 3 gave me the following screen, which didn't look like the article described. At any rate, the probem is unchanged...screenshot follows.

link, then look for the title Turning off and removing add-ons.

We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

• Click Reset.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Explorer.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Explorer performance troubleshooter
