windows 11 and hp 6055E envy printer issue. Microsoft word and note pad will not print. I do not see anything in the print preview window either during those two program printing of Text. If I insert a picture into a word pad or note pad page they WILL print and show on the print preview. Just NOT the text..... what do I do?

Unable to print using HP Envy 5055 printer

I understand that you are unable to print using HP Envy 5055 printer. I’ll certainly help you with this issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you facing this issue only while printing Excel documents?
  
• Do you receive any error code/message?
  
• Were you able to print documents earlier?
  

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try running
HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer this will diagnose the issues with Printing.



You may also want to try reinstalling the drivers from HP website:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-5000-all-in-one-printer-series/14095644/model/14095768. Try installing the recommended drivers and check.

Another issue started with HP Envy Photo 6255 Printer

hsehestedt: The problem still happened after uninstalling KB4517211 so I reinstalled it. Then the newer update (KB4524147) was available so I installed it. I noticed after installing KB4524147 that the KB4517211 update was no longer in the Installed Updates list in Programs and Features (Control Panel) View Installed Updates. The KB4524147 may have uninstalled it? Anyhow I just now printed a page and the 1 document(s) pending issue happened again. It's easy enough to clear back to 0 documents pending without a computer reboot. The problem doesn't happen every time I print. It is not a document(s) stuck in queue problem and does not cause the printer not to print when the issue occurs. I kind of wish that I didn't purchase this printer. Bottom line is that I have no idea why this is happening but short of being a pain in the butt I can live with it. I appreciate your support.

bro67: The Reset and Clear Print Spooler methods are the same thing that I was doing manually. There is 1 additional step I have to make however to bring the Document(s) pending to 0 and make the printer icon timeout and disappear. In Devices and Printers I have to change the default printer for example to One Note. Then I change the default printer back to the HP Envy and the document(s) pending reverts to 0 documents pending and the printer icon times out and disappears like it should. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.
