Windows 10: Windows 11 and screensavers

I have 2 monitors. I have 2 screensavers that I have used for many years Windows 8.1 through Windows 10.gPhotoShow and Marquee Plus 2.6gPhotoShow seems to work correctly except when I try to drag a window from screen 2 to screen 1 my main screen, the screensaver kicks in for a brief moment and over-rides my cursor. It takes 2 or 3 such tries to eventually move the window to screen 1 at which time the screensaver goes back to sleep. Marquee Plus, while having other problems, also has the same problem when I drag a window.All of the Windows 11 screensavers have the same problem.Set

I would suggest you to try the following steps and check if that helps.

• Go to the folder C:\Windows\System32 and sort by file type.
• Look for the screensaver file type (.scr).
• Find the file scrnsave.scr(you can choose any of the screensavers).
• Right click and select send to>desktop (create shortcut). The shortcut on my attachment, but when i click on it my screen goes off and on and nothing else.

Where are the results for the dozen-plus steps I gave you to try, and was waiting for results to be posted back so I know what else to suggest?

Screensaver is so dated I had to really dig to find those fixes, so to have them completely ignored is very discouraging. Can you go back to the top of the list and work through them now?

 

screensaver versus no screensaver

On Windows XP, the screensaver was running even when the montior was off which is a waste. Ever since I discovered that, I simply turn screensavers off and have the monitor power down in 5 minutes or less.
