Windows 10: Windows 11 and Secure Boot

Discus and support Windows 11 and Secure Boot in Windows 10 Support to solve the problem; My Dell Latitude 5420 laptop, at present working with 64 bit Windows 10 Pro, does not, it seems, support Secure Boot.     Windows 11 and Secure Boot


    My Dell Latitude 5420 laptop, at present working with 64 bit Windows 10 Pro, does not, it seems, support Secure Boot. Please see the attached System Information. Does this mean I cannot upgrade to Windows 11, when the new O/S is released, without significant hardware upgrades to the laptop? Advise would be very welcome. - - - Updated - - - Hello Dalchina, I ditched the HP Compac Presario for a second hand Dell Latitude some time ago. Regards

    Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

    I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

    So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?
