    Windows 11 and Secure Boot

Have been on a Windows 11 install for about 6 months now. Last night I restarted the machine after turning on Memory Integrity in the Device security section. The computer gave an error saying it cannot verify the signature of driver mounthlp.sys. The only way I can get the computer to boot is by turning off Secure boot. What is going with the computer?

    :)

Here is a statement from a Kernal Developer at Red Hat:

I'm not sure this exploits the legacy BIOS but rather it exploits the legacy boot method on MBR drives, injecting a signed key before the OS boots, which you are correct in that it has nothing to do with Windows 8. And the simplest fix would just be to require boot drives use GPT when Secure Boot is enabled in UEFI.

  3. Windows 8 Secure Boot Feature: Not So Secure?

So Linux is switching to secure boot also? Or they have to because of UEFI?

What does PC Health Check say about your hardware qualifying for Windows 11? Run it now from PC Health Check

In system information it tells me secure boot state is off and it says I’m in Legacy bios already.

My bios is already in UEFI according to the system information page on Windows.

Which of these statements above from your last two posts is correct concerning UEFI or Legacy Mode?

If System information says UEFI Mode then I gave you dozens of steps to try to get Secure Boot and TPM started. Please work through those steps now and report back results.
If you need help just ask back.

Secure Boot and TPM2 are needed to run the WIndows 11 Security features.
