    Windows 11: App icon on task bar stuck with permanent accent color


    Hi,One of my application icon permanently has accent color applied to it when I'm using light theme.I am using a Light color theme under Personalization > Colors, where I understand that accent color on taskbar is disabled by default the option is even greyed out. The accent color is non present when I turned on dark theme. I can see that the accent color slider is present in dark mode and I have turned it off. When I switch back to light mode after doing so this problem would go away temporarily for a few minutes. Can somebody please tell me how I could resolve this issue?ThanksM

    Hello Rosalie,

    If you selected to use "Light" for "Choose your color" or "Choose your default Windows mode", it will gray out and disable the "Start, taskbar, and action center" setting to "Show accent color on".

    You can select to use Custom for "Choose your color" and select Dark for "Choose your default Windows mode", or just Dark for "Choose your color".
