Windows 10: Windows 11 apps and task manager not working properly

I recently updated to using Windows 11 from Windows 10 and I am now having issue with task manager and some apps on my system. I've looked everywhere and I can't find the solution.Task Manager:The app opens but none of the apps on the list are updating, I've set real time update speed to high. It also lets me terminate tasks but dosen't remove them from the app list. When I try to close it it goes blank until i spam the cross enough for it to stop responding when I can finally close it. No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

 

Lost task manage from windows tool app list

Tried to pin task manager to taskbar in win 11 by right clicking from apps list (in windows tools). It didn't work, but now when I click on win icon, scroll to windows tools in the all apps list, it is no longer there. How do I get it back into the all apps list?

Thank you for using Windows 10.

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type CMD
• Type the following 4 commands at the CMD prompt:
  
  dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  
  sfc /scannow
  
  powershell
  
  Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
  
• Close the CMD window

Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.
